about Ashley


Ashley Cook, LCSW

Ashley is the founder of Alive Mind & Body Counseling. She has been working in the field since 2011 using her approach of identifying what is emotionally uncomfortable for clients’ and assisting them with working through the discomfort rather than avoiding it.

Ashley’s background started in the Substance Abuse and Mental Health field in 2011. She worked at a treatment center for 8 years as a therapist and Clinical Supervisor. Her area of work focuses on previous experiences that have contributed to the emotional discomfort a client is experiencing today, but mainly stays focused on the present and gaining a sense of mindfulness.

Ashley is also a Certified Health and Wellness Coach through the Dr. Sears Institute. She utilizes an erray of tools such as a pantry makeover, healthy eating guides, and identifying red light, yellow light, and green light foods.

THERAPUTIC TECHNIQUES

I utilize a basket full of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, stress and management, increasing self-worth, mind/body connection,  communication improvement, mood management, anxiety reduction, and an overall advocate of self-care and work/life balance.
